Refugee Health Screening for Family Reunification Immigrants and Asylum Seekers Living in the Waikato
Free Health Screening for Refugee Family Reunification Immigrants in the first 6 months of arrival in NZ and Asylum Seekers who have applied for Refugee Status in the last 6 months. They must be living in the area served by the Waikato DHB. Screening includes:
- Professional Interpreters
- A GP health check
- Teeth & mouth check by a dentist
- Blood tests
- Often a chest x ray at the hospital
- Urgent health & dental treatment
- Sometimes referrals to specialist or other services
