RAS (Refugees as Survivors) - Wellington
Wellington RAS provides services to refugees and migrants who have experienced torture and trauma. Working with children, youth and adults, we have been operating for 10 years in the wider Wellington region (includes Porirua and the Hutt Valley).
We employ counsellor advocates who are qualified psychologists, social workers and counsellors experienced in working with refugees who have been tortured and traumatised. We also employ a part time psychiatrist.
Interpreters are contracted from the Wellington Community Interpreting Service to work with our clinical staff to deliver the services to refugees.
