Injury Prevention Train the Trainer programme for new settler communities
This new settler train the trainer module is a visually based training tool covering basic injury prevention messages. Consisting of a flipchart with photos and teaching notes in English it is designed to be taught to small groups of non-english speakers in their own language, by a trained community facilitator.
Facilitators undergo free one-day training, delivered by Communities Living Injury Free staff. The module is currently being piloted in Auckland, in partnership with Refugees as Survivors Trust.
